Product Description

Introduced in 1947 and discontinued in 1979, the Princetons are highly valued, particularly as recording amplifiers, it's particularly famous as the basis for Mesa Boogie's Mark I, which is really a hotrodded Princeton with a Bassman transformer taking it to 60 watts. Used (in Reverb config) by so many artists from Larry Carlton to Keith Richards, the 8" speaker Princeton offers the quintessential Fender tone and along with the Tweed Champ and Deluxe, is the amp of choice for recording and stage pre-amping by many of the great guitar players of the 60's and today.

One of the true classic combo amps, this one is manufactured in November of 1959. Clean lacquered Tweed, all original parts except a few filters (originals supplied). Slightly larger than the 6" Champ with an 8" speaker and slightly larger cabinet. Use for small venues, recording or as a pre-amp for stage work. Should be the cornerstone of any serious musician's amp arsenal.
