You might like the idea of owning the guitar that helped launch Australian rock icon Cold Chisel. Every time an early Chisel song comes on the radio you can smile knowing the Strat responsible for those solos is yours. Or you might just be happy knowing you have a 1963 L Series Fiesta Red Strat in your possession, appreciating in value by the minute. Either way it's all good and this Strat has a whole lot going on.
Sure it's been refinished - Faded Fiesta Red, then Blue, then Fiesta Red and it's been refined over decades of live playing and recording to become the guitar that it is.
It's the hottest thing in the shop - possibly the hottest guitar we've ever seen and it comes with the crappiest (but 100% original) Stampford case you can imagine. If you take it to a gig you'll be noticed: This is the guitar that gets the girls. Every guitar nut who sees it will want to buy you beers and tell you their Chisel stories back when they had a mullet and tight jeans ... and of course other guitar players will approach you with big smiles and a bulge in their pants. Prepare to be popular. Lovingly set up by Jim The Fret.
The first three videos below show the original faded Fiesta Red, the last shows the blue.
