Loading... Please wait...Neck dated 6-60, pots all dated 20th week of 1960. Completely original wire assembly, including pickups, pots, capacitor, switch, and all solder joints. All the plastic parts are original: back plate, switch tip, covers, green nitrate pickguard, knobs, and the aluminum shielding plate. All screws, bridge, saddles, jack-plate, strap-buttons, trem arm and trem claw are original as well. Brazilian rosewood slab fingerboard with original clay dots and original frets.
It features a well-worn Olympic White finish without the yellowing lacquer top-coat and without any undercoat. This wasn't unusual for Fender and there are many documented cases, particularly for White. The guitar plays and sounds as good as you can imagine - outrageously, insanely good. It is light and resonant, weighing in at 7.5 pounds. The pickups are strong and balanced, with DC resistances of 5.9, 6.0, and 5.8 (N/M/B). Great 1960 profile neck and beautifully set up by Jim Mathaes. In original 1960 Fender hardshell case.
