Sometimes it's hard to know what really makes one guitar sound so completely different from another. It's easy to analyse the difference between an ES335 and a Strat, humbuckers vs. single-coil, solid-body vs. semi-acoustic - but why does one Strat sound so totally different from another? This guitar is a good point in case. It's an almost identical replica of Rory Gallagher's old '61 Strat. The most striking visual feature is that paint is mostly gone - in the video's you can actually see where it disappears over the years!) but it's the sound that'll blow you away. No, it's not like any other Strat. Watch the videos, think about them as you play it. The sounds that come out of this guitar are scary. When we say an 'almost identical replica', it has to be remembered that these instruments are hand made. The 'relic' process is an art and each one will be slightly different.
