This NOS General Electric JAN (Joint Army/Navy military spec) 6V6-GTY tube made is 1956 features a brown base, top-getter and black plate. 6V6 tubes were commonly used throughout the Tweed, Brown, Blonde and Blackface Fender amps of the 50's and 60's, including the Champ, Princeton and Deluxe amongst many others.

This will clean up your over-dirty Tweed Fender to pure harmonic distortion while being able to discern individual notes.

JAN tubes of the 50's and 60's are widely regarded as the best sounding available and are really your only choice when re-tubing a vintage amp. There are 4 tubes available as a matched quad (until one is sold), matched pair or as single tubes.
